Marco Vargas – Fractional CFO
Marco is a 27-year veteran of construction accounting and finance. A former Partner in a Big-4 firm, Marco is one of a handful of guys worldwide who has overseen, audited or otherwise been involved in the cost estimating, budgeting and course of construction accounting of multiple mega-projects (defined as projects with budgets in excess of $1 billion dollars). In addition, and at budgets more down to earth, Marco also has extensive experience in the residential arena, overseeing the construction accounting and finance of thousands of homes and condominiums, including several hundred high end custom home builds and remodels with budgets in excess of $1 million, many of these projects being invoiced as cost plus or time and materials jobs. At Cullen, Marco serves as our Chief Financial Officer on a Fractionalized basis; in fact, Marco is the Managing Partner of a Construction Accounting and Finance firm that specializes in providing professional accounting services to custom home builders and high-end remodelers. This unique arrangement ensures that our jobs are accounted for at the highest levels of professionalism and that our clients are provided timely, accurate and meaningful cost accounting reports and invoices.
