The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) is a leading post-secondary educational institution in Brunei Darussalam, established on May 27, 2014. Its mission is to produce highly skilled and employable graduates through a holistic learning environment, aligning with Brunei's Vision 2035 to develop an educated and highly skilled populace. IBTE offers programs in various fields, including agrotechnology, applied sciences, maritime, business, financial services, hospitality, tourism, energy, engineering, building technological services, electronics, and information technology. IBTE operates under the Ministry of Education with its own Board of Governors. It offers four levels of training: Industrial Skills Qualification (ISQ), National Technical Education Certificate (NTec), Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec), and Diploma. The institution comprises two networks of schools—IBTE Central and IBTE Satellite—with seven campuses across two districts, serving a vibrant community of over 3,500 students and approximately 900 teaching and non-teaching staff.
