Pacha Group is a globally recognized lifestyle brand specializing in entertainment and hospitality. Founded in 1966 by Ricardo Urgell, the company has evolved into a multifaceted enterprise encompassing nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, and fashion. Its flagship venue, Pacha Ibiza, established in 1973, has become an iconic symbol of Ibiza's vibrant nightlife. The group's mission is to share the essence of the Ibizan lifestyle worldwide, characterized by creativity, music, and a spirit of acceptance.
In October 2023, Dubai-based FIVE Holdings acquired The Pacha Group for €302.5 million. This acquisition included assets such as Pacha Ibiza Nightclub, Destino Five Ibiza Hotel, Pacha Hotel, and the global rights to the "Pacha" brand and its distinctive twin cherries logo. Following the acquisition, Kabir Mulchandani, Chairman and CEO of FIVE Holdings, assumed the role of Chairman of The Pacha Group, while Aloki Batra, CEO of FIVE Hospitality, became the CEO of The Pacha Group.
As of December 2024, The Pacha Group reported annual revenues of approximately $750 million, with a workforce of around 1,000 employees operating across six continents.
The Pacha Group's portfolio includes several key venues:
- Pacha Ibiza: Established in 1973, this nightclub has hosted renowned DJs and artists, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of Ibiza's nightlife.
- Destino Five Ibiza: Formerly Destino Pacha Hotel, this venue underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2025, upgrading its rating from four-star to five-star.
- Pacha Hotel: Acquired in 2003, this hotel is situated opposite Pacha Ibiza and offers luxury accommodations.
The Pacha Group also manages The Pacha Collection, a line of fashion and lifestyle products featuring the twin cherries logo, and The Pacha Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 2018 to consolidate the group's social welfare efforts.
The Pacha Group operates in the highly competitive entertainment and hospitality industry, facing competition from other prominent nightlife and hospitality brands. The group's strategic focus on integrating music, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, and fashion positions it uniquely in the market. Its commitment to sustainability, as evidenced by initiatives like operating on 100% green electricity and aiming for LEED Zero Water and Energy certifications, further differentiates it from competitors.
The Pacha Group has established significant collaborations and partnerships to enhance its market position and innovation capacity. Notably, the acquisition by FIVE Holdings has led to the rebranding and refurbishment of Destino Pacha Hotel to Destino Five Ibiza, reflecting a fusion of Pacha's legacy with FIVE's contemporary approach to hospitality.
The Pacha Group's strategic roadmap includes expanding its global footprint while maintaining the core values of the Ibizan lifestyle. The integration with FIVE Holdings is expected to bring fresh perspectives and resources, enabling the group to innovate and adapt to evolving market trends. The focus on sustainability and enhancing guest experiences positions the company to achieve its future objectives effectively.
