Tarrant To & Through Partnership (T3) Company Profile

Background

The Tarrant To & Through Partnership (T3) is a nonprofit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas, established in 2020. Its mission is to ensure that more students in Tarrant County obtain postsecondary credentials and acquire the necessary skills to thrive in today's workforce. T3 collaborates with local school districts, colleges, universities, employers, and community organizations to create equitable pathways for student success.

Key Strategic Focus

T3 focuses on three primary objectives:

1. High School Graduation Preparedness: Enhancing the number of students graduating high school who are College, Career, and Military Ready (CCMR).

2. Postsecondary Enrollment: Assisting more students in enrolling in postsecondary education with confidence.

3. Credential Completion and Workforce Entry: Empowering students to persist and earn degrees or credentials, thereby entering the workforce prepared for successful careers.

To achieve these goals, T3 addresses four critical gaps:

  • Information Gap: Providing students with clear information and experiential learning opportunities to make informed decisions.

  • Expectations Gap: Clarifying pathways to college and careers for students and families.

  • Guidance Gap: Offering personalized advising and persistence coaching.

  • Financial Aid Gap: Reducing financial barriers through scholarships and emergency funding.

These efforts are tailored to serve at-risk youth, economically disadvantaged individuals, and adolescents in Tarrant County.

Financials and Funding

In May 2022, T3 received a $2 million donation from JPMorgan Chase to enhance its ability to track graduates' post-high school outcomes and expand its programs to additional Tarrant County school districts. Additionally, in July 2022, The Big Good, a charity founded by singer Leon Bridges and former TCU football coach Gary Patterson, donated $250,000 to T3 to support its mission.

Programs and Initiatives

T3 offers a variety of programs designed to inform and engage students and families about college and career pathways. These include college and career advising, scholarships, mentorships, and bridge programming to ease the transition from high school to college. The organization also provides persistence coaching and resources to ensure students stay on track and offers support for transfer students.
