Current Role and Responsibilities
Andrea Messina serves as an Executive Director and Partner at CVS Health® Ventures, where she leads a Market Development team. Her team focuses on enabling growth with CVS Health’s portfolio companies and facilitating collaboration through CVS Health’s limited partner strategy and external venture relationships. She actively engages with various CVS Health business units to drive enterprise value and impact through investments, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
Her role involves partnering internally with CVS Health leadership and externally with innovative companies and entrepreneurs to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities that further CVS Health’s enterprise strategy, enhance capabilities, and accelerate innovation. Since joining CVS Health in early 2021, she has managed teams focused on developing clinical solutions leveraging CVS assets and enterprise channels to improve member outcomes and generate organizational value.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining CVS Health, Andrea was a Senior Director of Business Development at Mass General Brigham (MGB), concentrating on commercialization of MGB assets and fostering collaborations for innovation in care delivery, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), and digital health. Before that, she was a Senior Manager in Business Planning at MGB, leading strategic initiatives including value-based care, contract and pricing strategies, mergers and acquisitions, new business ventures, and network development.
This extensive background underscores her expertise in orchestrating transformative healthcare initiatives in complex organizations and taking novel concepts from planning through implementation.

Andrea Messina holds an MBA with a focus on Strategy from Boston University and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her undergraduate background includes a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics.
