Dr. Catrina Cropano serves as the Associate Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai West since July 2024, after previously holding multiple leadership roles within the department including Assistant Medical Director (Jan 2023 – Jul 2024) and Associate Director of Clinical Operations (Jul 2022 – Dec 2022). She concurrently holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (since March 2023) and functions as an attending physician within the broader Mount Sinai Health System since July 2021.
In addition to her Mount Sinai West leadership, Dr. Cropano was appointed Medical Director of the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Emergency Department effective September 3, 2024, and held this role through the critical period leading up to the facility’s closure in April 2025.
