James Pierre Glaude

Experienced in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, James Pierre-Glaude currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging at the Stony Brook School of Health Professions. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare and education sectors, James has built a strong reputation as a dedicated advocate for marginalized communities. As the President and Physical Therapist at James Pierre-Glaude Physical Therapy & Athletic Training Services, he has provided high-quality rehabilitation services to patients while championing accessibility and inclusivity in healthcare.

James' commitment to diversity and inclusion extends beyond his professional roles. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Amputee Soccer Association, where he helps to promote adaptive sports and empower individuals with disabilities. Additionally, he has held various leadership positions, including Director of Sports Medicine/Sports Performance for the US National Amputee Soccer Team and Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University.

Academically, James holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University. He has leveraged his expertise to contribute to the field through research, presentations, and publications, further enhancing his impact in the healthcare and education spheres.
