Jamie Dimon is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co., a global financial services firm with assets of $3.2 trillion. Dimon took on the role of CEO on January 1, 2006, and was named Chairman of the Board one year later.

Dimon's career in finance began at American Express Company. He later served as Chief Financial Officer and then President of Commercial Credit, which underwent numerous acquisitions, including Primerica Corporation in 1987 and The Travelers Corporation in 1993. From 1990 to 1998, Dimon held the roles of President and Chief Operating Officer of Travelers and concurrently COO of its subsidiary, Smith Barney Inc. He also became co-Chairman and co-CEO following the 1997 merger of Smith Barney and Salomon Brothers.

In 1998, Dimon was named President of Citigroup Inc., born from the merger of Travelers Group and Citicorp. He then joined Bank One as Chairman and CEO in 2000, until its merger with JPMorgan Chase in 2004, where he was named President and COO.
