Ontario Power Authority
On January 1, 2015 the Ontario Power Authority and the Independent Electricity System Operator merged into one organization under the name, Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
This new organization combines the mandates of both organizations and is responsible for the real-time operation of the Ontario electricity system and market, long-term energy planning, procurement, and the promotion of a conservation culture in the province.
The saveONenergy programs are a key focus for the IESO and have been moved to a new Linkedin page to best feature how businesses across Ontario leverage their conservation efforts for success.
