PTP is a joint venture between MMC Corporation (70%), a utilities and infrastructure group and APM Terminals (30%), a leading global ports group with a global port network in 69 countries

The rail line that runs through PTP is directly linked to the national Malaysia rail grid which connects to Johor Port and the southern area of Thailand.
