With over 12 years of experience in credit underwriting, loan review, and asset management, I am a VP Credit Underwriter at Newtek Business Finance, LLC, a leading provider of financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. I hold a BA in Economics from UCLA and have strong skills in portfolio management, investments, and ad hoc analysis. In my current role, I lead and train a team of underwriters who process and close $350 million annually in commercial loans for various industries, such as franchise businesses, hotels, wholesalers, technology companies, start-up businesses, service providers, and manufacturers. I perform credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and valuation for loan types that include acquisition, recapitalization, de novo, expansion, and construction.
