Summary
I have about ten years of teaching experience in both public and private schools in New York City, and before that I worked in product marketing. While I was a classroom teacher for many years, I have a Masters in Museum Education because I love the opportunities for hands-on learning that museums offer. After a few years of freelance writing while I figured out "what's next," I had the opportunity to join the Rye Historical Society, a local non-profit and museum. In this role, I combine my love of writing, teaching and community-building. I continue to pursue freelance writing as both a content writer for small businesses and in my personal projects, including narrative essays and other fiction and nonfiction projects. Specialties: My areas of expertise are elementary school education, museum education, product marketing/brand strategy, and descriptive, non-fiction writing. I can create marketing strategies for small businesses, including plans for networking and product development, and write web copy and accompanying materials to promote products and businesses. I enjoy developing relationships with clients who need freelance writers or marketing specialists and identifying opportunities to collaborate with other organizations.
