Summary
I have worked at companies of all sizes from a five-person startup to Microsoft. I built one of the world's first web applications at Upshot in 1997. Upshot was eventually sold to Oracle where my code lives on in Oracle Sales products. I have built products as a chief architect and managed teams as small as three people and as large as 60. I am equally comfortable in both roles. I am very hands on and know what it takes to build quality code that meets customer needs and ships on time. I have worked in America and Asia and have traveled extensively across the world. I have a strong cross-cultural perspective and a good understanding of people of all types. I had a great career and decided to retire from Microsoft in 2018. I tried franchising fast food restaurants for a while. That was not for me. I am fully committed to the global vagabond lifestyle at this point. I do not think that I will get bored in retirement again.
