Summary

Amir is Chairman and co-founder of OneStep. OneStep is a mobile software platform that enables and optimizes recovery from physical challenges, with the goal of reducing healthcare costs and improving quality of life. Starting with the smartphone, and expanding to an array of sensors around us, OneStep leverages everyday devices to provide “always on” gait diagnostics, continuous feedback and direct connection to a therapist. OneStep’s first target market is physical therapy for people recovering from strokes and is available for selected patients and therapists. Our proprietary technology automatically and continuously detects and analyzes gait through a smartphone’s sensors. OneStep turns the smartphone into a gait lab equivalent, only using a single smartphone, thereby making it available anywhere, anytime. OneStep extends the therapy to activity outside the clinic and to natural environments by providing physical therapists a record of the patient's progress at home and the ongoing ability to prescribe supervised exercises. Additionally, it empowers patients through real-time feedback and quantification of their progress, which motivates the patient toward continued healing. OneStep is currently in use in clinics and with patients in Israel and is already improving outcomes. Before co-founding OneStep, Amir co-founded and was CEO at Equivio, developing technology for the legal market. After 10 years of operation Equivio was acquired by Microsoft , and its products are now part of Office365. Before Equivio, Amir co-founded and was vice president of business development and marketing at Xyleme. In this role he was responsible for defining Xyleme's product strategy and translating it into a clear road map. Amir's responsibilities also included developing indirect sales channels, and expanding Xyleme’s presence in new regions. Before co-founding Xyleme, Amir served as a director of software development and account manager at Amdocs. He managed major customer care and billing projects for telecommunications companies in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, with overall responsibility ranging from sales to development to implementation. Before joining Amdocs, Amir worked for Teleride-Sage in Toronto as R&D manager for software products for the transportation industry. Amir holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from the Technion in Israel, and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
