After a rewarding corporate career in marketing in Silicon Valley I switched to the life of a small business owner: I started my own company, www.patchofshade.com, and bought a company, www.mauibydesign.com. I discovered my love for the Hawai'ian Islands, their amazing beauty and deep and vibrant culture and history. In 2015 we launched a new brand, NA KOA, www.nakoaleather.com, that celebrates and stays true to the Hawaiian and Polynesian culture. We donate a portion of our profit to Project Hawai'i (helps homeless keiki) and the Hawai'i Foodbank.
