Andreas Kemi, an Entrepreneur and Co-founder of Scala Business Solutions N.V, a global mid market ERP company employing over 55 nationalities and operations and distribution in over 60 countries. Kemi has twice served as its Chief Executive Officer. As CEO from 1993-1999, he led the company’s development and first successful thrust into the emerging markets. In 1996, he took Scala’s predecessor company public and, in 1998, led Scala’s successful public offering on the Amsterdam stock exchange. From 1999-2003, Andreas served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, maintaining his active role in the company’s continuing development and in mid 2003, he returned to his CEO role and led Scala’s commercial push to successfully launch a new version of its innovative web services Microsoft technology-based product. Following the successful completion of the acquisition of Scala by Epicor Software Corporation on June 18 2004 to form a global mid-market leader with over 250 million USD in revenues, Kemi stayed on and served as a non-executive director on the board of Epicor until May 2005. An entrepreneur at heart, having been involved in numerous successful start-ups throughout the years. He was an early and active investor in Uproar, a leading internet based entertainment company that went public on NASDAQ. He was the founding investor and was actively involved in building up Fathom Technology, the first component software development company in Eastern Europe, acquired by EPAM in 2004.
