Summary
I'm a founder, product designer, professor, and dreamer...and a fervent believer in the power of design. I founded ANNA New York, a luxury home and lifestyle brand, in 2002 (www.annanewyork.com). Through the joining of precious materials with modern style, we create pieces for the home which elevate nature through design. They are designed to last a lifetime, and beyond. Our designs are carried by 500+ top luxury and museum retailers around the world, including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Design Stores, Lane Crawford, Tanagra, and Bloomingdale's Dubai. I have taught Product Design at the university level for the past fifteen years, most recently at the d.school at Stanford University, and as a full- time professor for ten years at Parsons in New York. My main area of research is biologically-inspired design. My career began with designing medical and consumer products, and creating early-stage strategies. I have created products from prosthetic knees and heart valves to cellphones, and have developed large-scale strategies for consumer goods and automotive companies.
