Summary

Being project director within the ‘Sustainable Materials Program’ in the LEGO Group, I am leading and executing on strategically important R&D projects with high attention from the LEGO owners and top management. Since 2019 I have been overall project lead and responsible for the global removal of single use plastic bags being packed inside the LEGO boxes for LEGO bricks. Alternative sustainable solutions are to be implemented globally by end of 2025. The project covers the entire value chain from developing of new materials to testing with consumers to developing new packing platforms to global roll-out on all LEGO manufacturing sites and in all LEGO products. The project team is 100+ FTEs and growing, and the project consist of 15-20 sub-project streams. The budget is huge. This is really something LEGO wants. MSc in Biology, 25+ years of experience as Project Manager including: 7 years as Business owner/Product line development with a yearly turnover of 100 mio. € and 10 years as Leader of Networks across Industries and Universities and in Fund raising. 2 years as formal people leader. I have strong leadership and communication skills and a proven track record of developing high performance teams and in leading highly complex, cross functional projects covering the entire value chain and involving a broad range of stakeholders. I am energized by driving decision processes upwards and in leading in change. My approach is results-oriented, analytical and structured, and I successfully visualize interdependencies and facilitate dialogue across teams and functional areas. By nature, I am curious and extrovert and bring lots of positive energy, fun and engagement to my teams and colleagues. I get thrilled to coach and make people grow and to contribute to ambitious targets.
