Summary
Currently, my work involves nonprofits in Rhode Island focusing on the areas of women and gender expansive people, parks and flowers, libraries and the literary arts, and livable cities. Previously, I was a serial entrepreneur who launched, grew and sold five national business media brands. The award-winning organizations I've founded have been noted in The Economist, WSJ.com, Harvard Business School publications NPR, The New York Times and many more. My nonprofit launches have won major national grants as well as local awards. My last for-profit launch was named the 4th fastest growing media company in America by Inc Magazine in 2016, and to the Top 100 Gold list by Trade Show Executive magazine in 2019. I was named to Worth's Worthy 100 of 2022; as one of 2014's top 12 women in Conversion Rate Optimization; as one of 2010's top businesswomen on Twitter; and, as one of 2002's the top 5 most influential women online. I've served as a keynote speaker at 100+ industry conferences in the US and Europe, on topics ranging from online content business models to B2B marketing benchmarks, as well as small business M&A. I'm always happy to connect with former colleagues, as well as professionals in my home state. However, I am no longer seeking connections related to any of the media brands I founded as they are all under new owners. Thank you.
