Samir Arora is an American entrepreneur, inventor and investor. Arora has successfully led teams in large $10B+ Fortune 100 corporations, serially founded and led startups to significant global companies. He has raised/managed over $750 million in private and public equity & M&A, led a NASDAQ IPO as CEO and lead teams of consumer products, digital media sales and management. Arora is best known as a veteran of Apple Computer from 1982—1991 where he led the first New Media team, built consumer and applications products, ran international app platform teams and worked for the CEO. He is the founder and CEO of Sage Digital, a Silicon Valley AI locations platform company developing ML technology that enables exciting new consumers applications for mobile, AI assistants, and car apps. Arora was the founding investor of Glam Media in 2003 with the vision that social curation would help people find content, products & videos and served as its CEO from 2006 to 2014, and as Mode Media through 2016. Under his tenure, Glam grew from 10 employees to the #1 Lifestyle Media company & the 6th largest US Media company in reach with 144 Million US & 400 Million global users a month with annual revenues of $100 Million with $750 Million in 10 years. Arora serves as the General Partner of the venture firm Information Capital. He founded and was the CEO and Chairman of the 1st web site product company NetObjects, Inc. that was acquired by IBM for $150 Million and ran it as an IBM subsidiary CEO for 5 years. Arora is listed as one of the 100 Internet Pioneers and as the 21 people that shaped the World Wide Web at the 1st Web Innovators Awards by CNET. He received the US Entrepreneur of the Year by IIA and the E&Y Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for Media. He received the Gold award of the world's best designed consumer products from IDSA and is listed as co-inventor in 14 US software patents, with 4 patents under file.
