Prior to Patent Contacts, Mr. Monk was Vice President, Patent Transactions at TechInsights, the industry leading patent analysis and reverse engineering firm headquartered in Ottawa Canada. Over a period of eight years, from his office in Silicon Valley, Mr. Monk was responsible for facilitating numerous patent acquisition and divestment transactions. Prior to TechInsights Mr. Monk was CEO of Inflexion Point Analytics, an entity focused on large-scale patent transactions and the patent analytics needed to support the brokerage of them. He has been active in patent brokerage for over 18 years and entered into his position with TechInsights when TechInsights acquired his Company. Mr. Monk resides in Silicon Valley where he has held senior marketing and product management roles at HP and ROLM Corporation. Mr. Monk was a co-founder of the Alberta High-Performance Computing Center serving the seismic data processing and academic research communities in Canada. Mr. Monk is a dual citizen of Canada and the US and holds an Honors B.Sc. in Physics and a M.Sc. in Biophysics from the University of Manitoba. He holds an MBA in Operations Research from the University of Alberta where he also pursued post-graduate research in Solid-state Physics.
