Summary
Barbara Kamm is the former President & CEO of Technology Credit Union, a $2.1 billion, full-service financial institution founded 56+ years ago at Fairchild Semiconductor in Silicon Valley. Today the company serves over 75,000 members around the Bay Area. Upon joining Tech CU in 2010, Ms. Kamm led a successful turnaround of the organization, taking it from a substantial loss to a healthy ROA and a 55% growth in assets while championing collaborative leadership, transparency and employee engagement. Ms. Kamm continues to serve on the Tech CU Board of Directors and is a member of the Compensation Committee. She has also served as an executive officer, director and Audit Committee member of public companies and has domain expertise in banking, financial services and fintech, including expertise in financial products and services, consumer behavior, start-up and high growth businesses, the regulatory environment and cybersecurity. Prior to joining Tech CU, Ms. Kamm operated her own Bay Area-based consulting firm to provide strategic, organizational and financial advice to young tech companies and financial institutions. Among her clients was New Resource Bank (NWBN) of San Francisco, where she advised the board through a CEO transition and later joined the Board. At New Resource Bank, Ms. Kamm served on the Audit Committee and as Chair of the Directors Loan Committee. Ms. Kamm also spent 10 years at Silicon Valley Bank (SIVB), where she was a C-suite executive and worked with entrepreneurs, start-ups, venture capitalists, and technology industry associations to meet their financial needs. In a hiatus from banking, Ms. Kamm served as president of a $10MM medical device company and managed a turnaround that restored the company to sustainability and profitability. Ms. Kamm currently serves on the board of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and previously served as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation.
