Josh is the founder of The Full Circle Fund, a community leadership and policy innovation organization that funds and supports non-profits creating positive change in the Bay Area and builds civic leaders for the future. FCF members have provided over 100,000 strategic volunteering hours to Bay Area non-profit orgs and raised $15M+ to do public problem solving in the Bay Area. Josh was the CEO of Lex Machina, the company that pioneered the category of Legal Analytics. Lex Machina started as a public interest project at Stanford Law School to bring openness and transparency to the law. It became a company end of 2010 and Josh took over mid-2011 to build a business around the data while offering free access to judges and academics. He was CEO until August of 2018. In Washington, D.C., Josh started a successful technology consulting firm, was one of the youngest Press Secretaries on Capitol Hill, and started his career in environmental consulting. He holds a B.A. from Williams College, an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from the Stanford Law School. At Stanford he co-founded the Board Fellows Program, to match students with the boards of non-profit orgs and became a national model. He also ran a year-long initiative on technology and social change. Previous employment includes Redpoint Ventures, Netscape Communications, and McKinsey & Co. Josh was on the founding team of Dice.com, the IT Jobs site.
