Summary

20 years of working within the California State University and the Community College systems. I am responsible for ensuring the proper and appropriate labs and experiments are in place at the correct time. I am also responsible for ensuring adequate stock of all chemicals, glassware and equipment that a university chemistry department is expected to have. I deal with a very diverse group of people of all ages and backgrounds. I also am expected to keep up with the latest rules and regulations for doing things ion a proper and safe manner and for the overseeing of collection and proper, legal disposal of all the generated hazardous waste material. Specialties: Purchasing, inventory control, knowledge of safety and hazardous waste rules and regulations, hiring and firing of student assistants, some computer knowledge, responsibility for making sure the labs are run efficiently and properly.
