For the past 20-plus years, I have worked in cyber security. My experience includes building and operating cybersecurity programs for small, medium, and large organizations. In addition to being an experienced cybersecurity professional, I have 15+ years of experience in leadership roles. I was responsible for finding and nurturing talent and helping over 200 colleagues achieve their goals. In 2014, Binoy Koonammavu and his co-founders, Angela Maria, Jobbin Thomas, and Mridul Menon, started ValueMentor to help organizations achieve the best from their cyber security investments. ValueMentor is in the business of creating value for our customers by providing Consultancy and Services associated with secure digital transformation. ValueMentor is also one of the leading compliance assessment companies focusing on PCI Standards such as PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, HITRUST, NESA etc. Before co-founding ValueMentor, Binoy Koonammavu built and led Burgan Bank's IT Security function for six years, responsible for protecting the Bank's business and customer data. In this role, Binoy built a successful cyber security team for the bank and led the Bank to achieve certifications such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001. Before this, Binoy established the Information Security practice and was the Information Security Center of Excellence Director at UST Global. Binoy was an honoree of the (ISC)2 Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Awards in 2012. Areas of expertise include Security Management, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, BCP, HIPAA, HITRUST, Privacy, Cyber Risk Assessments, and Security Awareness.
