Summary
I am a technology lawyer, entrepreneur, and investor (and now novelist). I was the founder of EMusic.com and RoyaltyShare, and am author of a leading legal treatise on music law. I am admitted to practice law in California and before the Second Circuit Federal Court of Appeal. Most recently, I was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School in New York City, where I earned an LL.M (Master in Law) degree, Kent Scholar (highest honors), and conducted research on the legal and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence. My specialties include digital media, copyright, music Law, technology law, music publishing, SaaS, artificial intelligence, and philosophy of law. I have also served as an expert witness for Rick Ross Katy Perry, JayZ, ASCAP, Universal Music, Sony Music Group, Warner Music Group, and others.
