Summary
I'm a 3 time entrepreneur turned investor. Through the multiple funds I've helped create, I've participated as an investor or advisor in the seed/series A rounds of 400+ companies. This includes holdings in billion dollar companies like Uber, Unity & Zappos. I enjoy speaking around the world about entrepreneurship, tech policy & early stage funding. I can also proudly say that I'm one of the authors of Game Programming Gems 4. Amazing considering I suck at coding nowadays. :) Outside of work, I have bicycled across the United States (riding over 5,000 km), canoed the entire Mississippi River (paddling over 2,300 miles), and skied for the Colombia National Cross-Country Ski Team where I competed in the 2014 Olympic Trials and the 2017 World Championships in Finland. I love travel and have been lucky to visit 100+ countries including the birth of a nation. I like to surround myself with people from various backgrounds especially those with a "jack of all trades" streak in them. Besides that, I aspire to drive a taxi and work at a hot dog stand in New York when I retire.
