Summary
Software engineer, patent holder, advisor, board member, entrepreneur, flower arranger, martial artist, and perpetual student of what's next. I build things that millions of people love using daily—from iOS innovations to web applications, websites, e-commerce, mobile apps, and games. Five patents from my Apple days, millions of users served, built alongside brilliant colleagues who challenged and inspired me to think beyond what seemed possible. Perpetually curious and always learning about emerging technologies. Founded Tapiki here in Hawaii because the best innovation happens when you're grounded in place and community. My years as SVP at Bank of Hawaii and Chief Innovation Officer at Mid-Pacific Institute taught me that solutions to the most meaningful problems are found at the union of technology and the humanities. Being recognized as a Webby Honoree and by Hawaii Business Magazine’s “20 for the next 20” matters, but what matters more is serving the people and our island communities that have given me so much. Zazen and boxing at Chozen-ji, a zen temple deep in Kalihi Valley on Oahu, are my shugyō. Building the future one thoughtful innovation at a time, always asking not just "can we?" but "should we?" and "how might we?" What will we build together? Let’s find out!
