Summary

Currently, I am retired and living in Costa Rica, building a permaculture garden. However, I am available on a limited basis for consultation on UX design projects in web or application design. As an award winning visual designer and creative director in the past, for the last 25 years I have applied my passion and analytical skills to the development and application of the User Experience design practice, while serving as an "end user advocate". At times, functioning as one or more of these roles; information architect, user interface designer, interaction designer, usability and business requirements analyst, visual designer and team leader, my user experience design methodology reflects the "user centered design" concept. This includes the creation of deliverables such as user personas, use case scenarios, task flow analysis, application diagrams, site maps and wireframes among others. Add to this experience the understanding of dynamic application development and implementation platforms, usability research and business practice identification. While I do not write code for the simple reason that my focus is on empowering the end user, I always work closely with engineering teams and have a good knowledge and understanding of the underlying technologies on which an application is based, whether it is a client side application or a web site. In the role of User Experience designer I have performed services for a variety of companies including AT&T, Symantec, Intuit, Shell Global, Dell, Williams-Sonoma, J.C. Penney's, and Huawei. Specialties: Information architecture, user interface design, human interaction and visual design for ecommerce and marketing websites and, web and client based applications.
