Summary
Cameo Wood is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, storyteller, and producer. Best known as the screenwriter and director of the acclaimed short film Real Artists, the film premiered at Cinequest and earned numerous accolades on the festival circuit, including the AT&T Film Award for Best Emerging Artist. It has been broadcast on PBS, Aspire, and featured in the Wing Luke Museum’s celebrated exhibit Worlds Beyond Here: The Expanding Universe of Asian Pacific American Science Fiction. A graduate of Harvard University with a master’s degree in Dramatic Arts, Cameo is also a prolific producer of immersive theater and a producer with Culture House Creative. Through her company, Charming Stranger Films, she has produced 25 films, demonstrating her commitment to innovative and impactful storytelling across mediums. Cameo serves on the boards of BAYCAT, the Roxie Theater, and KWMR, championing the arts and fostering creative opportunities within her community. Her work reflects a passion for pushing the boundaries of narrative and a dedication to creating meaningful, transformative experiences for audiences.
