Summary
Pro-social change is the engine that drives my work. I've championed systems change through simplification, open data tools and open source software communities. I invest my time with challenging the status quo of social inequities whether that's by providing strategic systems approaches to open data use and story development that collectively voice issues affecting the poorest and most vulnerable communities in Los Angeles County, reimagining learning recognition with new credentials, or establishing resilient communities of practice. I shepherd new ecosystems of change and write and speak nationally and internationally about civic tech, open source software, open data, badges, digital credentials, and edtech.
