Summary
Christian is a serial deep tech founder and inventor. He has led invention and building of prototypes for companies such as Genentech, Panasonic, and Walmart; and for philanthropists in the fields of AI, cancer prevention, neurotechnology, and human flight. He works inside startups including Regent Craft, Venus Aerospace, and ZeroAvia to invent novel technologies and build valuable IP portfolios. Christian’s other lifelong passion is aviation: he advises the leading new aviation venture fund UP.Partners, he built and maintained an experimental aircraft, and he instructs and mentors in helicopters and fast airplanes. He’s also father to four little future pilots and husband to rocket engineering leader Natalya Bailey. At his core, Christian is dedicated to leaving behind inventions that make the world a better place. Previously, he founded and co-led two startups: a defense technology company acquired by GPI; and an early SaaS logistics company. He holds a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Oxford and studied molecular biology, materials science, and aerospace as a Fellow at MIT.
