Summary
Communications professional with 20 years of leadership experience in editorial settings and a focus on press relations and public engagement across multiple digital platforms. Exceptional writing, media production, public speaking, interpersonal, and project management skills. During my tenure at MacDowell, the leading artist residency program in the United States, I supervised the organization's digital voice and outreach as it underwent a rebranding, website overhaul and expansion, and name change, devising and implementing campaigns to maximize engagement for multiple audiences. Directing the strategy of MacDowell's social media accounts, I presided over a period in which the organization's following quadrupling on Twitter/X and increased by a factor of 65 on Instagram, while and launching the organization on newer platforms, such as TikTok and BlueSky. During this time, applications for MacDowell's fellowships increased 180%. I began my career as a Founding Contributor and Executive Editor for the Boston-based non-profit arts journal Big Red & Shiny and sat on the publication's Board of Directors for over eight years. In addition to BR&S, I've contributed to Art Papers, Art New England, DigBoston, and Boston's National Public Radio station, WBUR. With degrees in media studies and journalism from Emerson College and Boston University, respectively, I have also have taught and guest-lectured on mass media and news literacy at Boston and New York City area colleges. I work in print, audio, photo, and video, and have managed and produced media campaigns in both editorial and institutional settings.
