Summary

Principal in Bernstein’s San Diego private client office, which he helped launch in 2005. Works closely with affluent families and charitable foundations with a focus on investment planning and developing tailored asset allocation strategies. Joined the firm in 2001 as a financial advisor in the San Francisco office. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a director at Vividence, an internet consulting firm, where he managed the strategic client group. Previously, he managed the San Francisco office of Baseline Financial Services, an equity research firm serving institutional money managers. Began his career with IBM as a marketing associate in the firm’s New York banking office. Currently serves on the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation Board (former chair) and is a member of the endowment’s investment committee. He is also a member of the investment committee for California State University, San Marcos (former chair). Founding board member of Curebound, and a top 1% fundraiser for the Curebound Challenge (formerly Padres Pedal the Cause), which awards several million dollars annually to help further cancer research.
