As General Counsel for JLL Technologies (JLLT), I spearhead the legal strategy for AI-driven solutions, data governance, and intellectual property, directly fueling JLL's competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving commercial real estate landscape. I actively contribute to shaping the company's technological future and mitigating risks as a member of the JLLT Board and JLL's Legal Executive Committee. During my tenure as APAC General Counsel for JLL, I led and mentored a high-performing legal team of 70+ lawyers across 15 countries. I played a crucial role in major business and digital transformations, successfully restructured a regionally-driven business into a global business line orientation, and oversaw the legal launch of JLL GPT, our proprietary large language model, to a workforce of 100,000+. My expertise encompasses building global legal teams, commercial real estate, data privacy (CIPP/E), IP, and comprehensive risk management. I excel at navigating complex legal landscapes and ensuring the highest ethical standards. Before joining JLL, I was an EVP at Lazada (an Alibaba Group company) and RedMart, where I was instrumental in accelerating e-commerce growth across Southeast Asia and strategically blocked the regional expansion of the largest global competitor. This experience provided invaluable insights into scaling technology companies in dynamic international markets. As a GC and an angel investor in a Silicon Valley startup, I also contributed to a successful exit. I am passionate about building exceptional teams and fostering a culture of innovation. I'm proud to have received recognition for my contributions to the legal field, including NAPABA's Best Lawyers Under 40, the Association of Corporate Counsel's Top 10 30-Somethings, Asia Legal Business's Southeast Asia's In-house Lawyer of the Year, and my law school's Distinguished Recent Graduate of the Year. Beyond my legal career, I am a licensed sailing captain, a rock climbing instructor, an Ironman finisher, and a craft beer judge, reflecting my commitment to teaching, leadership, calculated risk-taking, and a balanced lifestyle.
