Summary
My experience is concentrated in relatively large embedded software systems that are designed for reuse. My career has focused on software to process and deliver digital audio and video. Most recently I've focused on high end consumer audio devices supporting features from Dolby, DTS and Auro3D using TI DSP's and ARM embedded Linux. The systems I've worked on have typically supported multiple customers with overlapping requirements. I've also done my share of hardware over the years. While I have tended toward leadership roles in my teams, I have always been a hands on developer. I enjoy debugging and integrating third party codes. I have spent significant time working on the development system for Philips' TriMedia processor, sound for Atari video games and digital audio editing systems. I have been a remote worker (and a remote team leader) for years. My degree is in Physics. Specialties: Embedded computing for consumer devices, digital audio, digital video, Embedded Linux, SoC programming.
