Summary
I have spent most of the last twenty years in private practice while doing hands on disability advocacy in the local community as well as the greater Boston area. Particular expertise in working with Deaf Blind people. Sign Language and Braille for the blind is an ongoing process in personal growth. Immediate goal would be in the consulting and teaching areas with emphasis on disability issues both on an individual,familial and a broader community level. Specialties: Crisis intervention, alcohol/drug counseling, specialty in working with people with disabilities. Advocacy for people with disabilities, peer and family support and sensitivity counseling and training.Trained in ADA workshops. Licensed Certified Social Worker. Teach classes on Disability Awareness and Communication and Understanding.
