Summary
As the Studio Head for iwot studio's video game effort, my team and I are leveraging one of the most popular global fantasy franchises and bringing the expansive Wheel of Time universe to life. Building an immersive open world game based on The Wheel of Time is an endeavor I have pursued for years. We’re now forming a team to create our first Triple-A title that will produce hundreds of hours of meaningful and enjoyable content. I specialize in managing large development teams, utilizing my creative, technical, and business acumen, synthesizing large amounts of information to make decisions, providing transparency to team members, and effectively communicating. I prefer to delegate and empower employees to get work done by providing support when needed utilizing my decades of game development and related experience. Finally, I have a proven track record of bringing high-profile fantasy and science fiction IPs to video games. I’ve been part of the video game industry for the past 30 years, from my time at Sierra On-Line as General Manager of its original development studio producing adventure games (many with Quest in the name) and the very first Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG). I later joined Electronic Arts as the VP & Executive Producer for EA’s Westwood Studios in Las Vegas, and the VP of Production at EA Partners in California. I was a Studio VP and General Manager at Activision managing multiple Marvel superhero franchises, as well as VP of Product Development at Warner Brothers Games (formerly Turbine) near Boston, where I led many historic IP game franchises including The Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeon & Dragons Online, Asheron’s Call, Game of Thrones mobile, and multiple DC superhero games. I initiated my long career journey for six years at TRW Space & Technology on NASA spacecraft and microprocessors. I’m a California native, and received my BSEE in computer engineering at USC, and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
