Summary
I help companies grow their products and core brands with my background that includes operations, finance, branding, and investing. Most recently I was the CFO of Monarch Private Capital an investment firm founded as a federal and state tax credit investor. Based in Atlanta, MPC is rapidly growing through investments in new credit types in new states and in new industries. Prior to MPC, I have helped several companies grow including the leading home product designer, Kim Seybert and the New Evolution Ventures with their partnership with Madonna. I have also run the merchant banking efforts of the Beige Group for the Consumer and Retail space. In my practice, we searched for investments in consumer branded companies and provided M&A and capital raise services. In the past, I was the SVP of acquisitions for NexCen Brands where we built two platforms: (i) A licensing platform with two brands licensed to over 40 licensees producing products in over 50 categories sold in luxury through mass channels in the US and internationally and (ii) a franchising platform with seven brands franchised into over 1,800 stores in over 40 countries. The brands ranged from fashion shoes to sneakers to ice cream, pretzels and cookies. I also became the President of Bill Blass overseeing licensing operations as well as the couture apparel house. Prior to NexCen, I was a private investor investing in technology and consumer brands, an M&A investment banker, and I began my career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen.
