Summary
I am a curiosity-driven, gregariously introverted technocrat doomed to live and die by the sword of creative destruction. My self-proclaimed role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem consists of the semi-systematic search for shiny pieces of intellectual property to develop into successful corporate undertakings. I am drawn increasingly to sustainability-oriented, high impact innovation... I sit on the advisory and governance boards of several technology firms, and provide a variety of strategic business and technology consulting services, with particular emphases on intellectual property, governance and cyber-security. I am an advocate of joint industry-academic research and have established both for-profit and non-profit consortia to address industry-defined issues and challenges. Specialties: I know enough about identity management to be dangerous. I look for opportunities to help start-up companies achieve their objectives. I have a long-standing interest in Internet trust architectures, identity management, public key infrastructure (PKI) and authentication in general. With this background, I find the rapid evolution of blockchain technologies to be irresistible.
