Summary
After four years of research, I’ve published a new book (January 2025) on practical steps for recruiting, onboarding and employing foreign-born workers, the justice involved, and people with disabilities. "Hidden Talent" is based on scores of interviews and ten original case studies of businesses committed to employing people from these overlooked talent pools. A nationally recognized expert on innovative solutions for critical skill shortages and a changing workforce, I now focus solely on practical approaches for employing marginalized workers. I am a former member of the research staff at both Harvard Business School and MIT’s Sloan School of Management. During my career, I have been a researcher at both MIT’s Center for Information Systems Research and MIT’s Age Lab. My other books include: ➡️ The Executive Guide to High-Impact Talent Management (co-authored with Steve Trautman, McGraw-Hill, 2011) ➡️ Lost Knowledge: Confronting the Threat of an Aging Workforce (Oxford University Press, 2004) ➡️ Graduate to a Great Job: Make Your College Degree Pay Off in Today's Market (2013) Specialties: Researcher, consultant, coach and occasional keynote speaker, helping organizations explore opportunities for addressing workforce shortages by effectively hiring refugees, the formerly incarcerated and people with disabilities.
