Summary
I have always thrived at companies in transformational eras - through industry upheavals or economic crises. I've been in key corporate finance roles during major M&A, turnaround and IPO events in competitive companies and tough industries. From Deloitte, I joined Quaker Oats in Chicago shortly before its scrutinized $1.6 billion acquisition of Snapple, plunging me into high profile M&A accounting and capital structure challenges. Following the federal deregulation of monopoly telecommunications markets, I came to Cincinnati Bell, increasing shareholder value through M&A valuations and the spin-off and IPO of Convergys during a time of new industry competition, data-driven customer intelligence and multi-channel contact strategies during their early emergence. After taking a childcare break with my kids when they were little (now adults!), I led a mid-market company through a turnaround in the depth of the Great Recession, making me a Cincinnati Business Courier “CFO of the Year” finalist in 2011. Joining AK Steel, which was acquired for $3 billion in 2020, brought me up to speed on new financial accounting and reporting requirements for complex, SEC companies. Wayfair demanded me to go full speed after explosive demand associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, and now Ingredion inspires me as we sustainably deliver food and ingredient solutions worldwide.
