Skills
Summary
Specialties: Experienced executive manager; formerly a full-time corporate, e-commerce, regulatory lawyer/partner at multinational law firms. I developed an interest in technology as a Partner in several global law firms, as my financial services, regulated industries, corporate, e-commerce and emerging technology clients transformed their businesses to the Internet. This led to my involvement a drafter of the Public Key Infrastructure Assessment Guidelines which provided cryptography requirements and standards, including privacy. Starting my career as an Attorney for the Office of the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), I drafted legislation and participated in enforcement and regulatory proceedings, which has been invaluable. One of my opinions was affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court resulting in the landmark integration of banking and insurance industries. I also participated in the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's Task Force that drafted the Federal Reserve Board's Regulation E, establishing the rights, liabilities, and responsibilities of participants in electronic fund transfer systems (automated teller machine transfers, telephone bill-payment services, point-of-sale (POS) terminal transfers and preauthorized transfers).
