Summary
I co-founded Expert Support in 1990 as a source of outsourced services in support of software development companies in Silicon Valley. We observed that software companies often were weak in many areas that support software development: technical documentation and training, user documentation and training, sales and marketing support, business partner education and support. Over the years, we’ve assembled a stable source of high-level talent that supports Silicon Valley companies from startups to the big guys. Our customers have driven us to focus primarily on how our customers communicate with their stakeholders. We have a world-class collection of senior technical writers. The bullseye of our services is developer-to-developer communication, such as guides for APIs and SDKs, or descriptions of complex software architecture. When the technology is new, different, or complex, we’re the best team to call. Expert Support is self-funded and closely held. From the beginning, we have operated in an open-books, open-contracts fashion. Both our employees and our clients appreciate our transparent practices. Further, our employees participate in the key management decisions of the company. Specialties: We help technology companies deliver the right information, in the right form, to the right people, at the right time. We are experts in knowledge acquisition, knowledge engineering and re-engineering, original content creation, and the systems, best practices, processes and resources needed to establish and maintain technical communications excellence.
