Summary
I have a genuine interest in people. And I believe that truly connecting with the people around you is not only the secret to a more joyful life, but also the basis for success in business. Creating an environment that allows people to trustfully connect with each other allows them to grow. And building organizations that foster personal growth is probably the most important aspect of leadership. Coming from a consulting background, I love to be... - analytic - fact-based and - KPI-driven. It’s obvious that this leads to better business decisions and outcomes. Trying to fit everything into spreadsheets, databases, and algorithms, however, also leads to: - less intuition - less astonishment - less wonder, and - less of a lot of other things that make life exiting (and businesses successful). So, I strongly believe in leaving at least some room for “Productive Magic”, a zone that is open for the unknown. Because pioneering decisions are rarely based on pros and cons lists only and step changes always involve uncertainty. With all that said, I love to build businesses that have a positive impact on people. And I've acquired valuable expertise in transforming business models, building SaaS companies and scaling platform businesses along the way. At jameda, we have: - transformed the company from a review portal to a SaaS platform - scaled from 20 people in Munich to almost 400 in +10 different offices in Germany - sold the company to Hubert Burda Media in 2016 - acquired patientus GmbH in 2017 - sold the company to Docplanner Group in 2022, forming the world's biggest healthcare platform.
