Elizabeth Mooney enhances shareholder value, fosters transparency, and drives long-term success by bringing her expertise in investing portfolio management, accounting and audit, risk, governance and ESG to boards. Elizabeth is an internationally recognized expert in accounting with a deep understanding of the investor mindset (institutional and activists). She founded the accounting research function at Capital Group Companies in 2004 and delivered the most rigorous analysis of public accounting, complex financial reporting, and governance of entities for current and prospective investments. She's a specialist in international accounting and audit issues including at Chinese companies, is comfortable with navigating risk in global businesses and has done work in China, Japan, Europe and Australia. Elizabeth presents at conferences around the world on topics related to public accounting, financial reporting, and governance. She testified in Congress on accounting for off-balance sheet entities at financial institutions to Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs in September 2008.
