Ms. Barrett advises, represents, and trains management clients in various areas of employment and labor law, including employment class actions (wage and hour, RICO, gender discrimination); discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and whistleblower lawsuits; union representation elections; decertification of unions; and collective bargaining. Ms. Barrett has represented various types of employers in federal and state court litigation, employment arbitrations, before the National Labor Relations Board, and before various other state and federal agencies. In addition, she specializes in leave of absence policies and employee handbooks, including those that conform to the laws of various states. Specialties: Representation of employers in areas such as employment litigation, including harassment and discrimination issues; class actions; union avoidance and labor relations; and policy, training, and general employment/labor/personnel matters advice; counseling companies on all workplace issues including complex leave of absence and disability accommodation issues.
