Summary
With over 20 years of experience in global technology and intellectual property leadership, Eric is using his deep relationships and understanding of the licensing ecosystem to develop new opportunities and cutting-edge licensing platforms for Avanci. Before joining Avanci, Eric was senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Technology Licensing. There he played a lead role in driving growth for Qualcomm’s licensing programs. Previously, he was a partner in the Silicon Valley office of international law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he chaired the global technology and intellectual property group and was the managing partner of the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Earlier in his career, he was a partner in the Palo Alto office of Cooley Godward, where he led the firm’s technology transactions practice. Eric holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and Bachelor of Science degrees in physics and mathematics from M.I.T., where he graduated with a 5.0 GPA and was named the top male scholar-athlete in his senior class.
