Summary
Tunitas Ventures' primary value add is helping best entrepreneurs with fundraising, with a playbook to start from, introductions to best fit investors, back channel feedback, and situation specific strategic and tactical advice. Eleven years as an MD in two large venture firms, with a say in over 500 Series A to Pre IPO prospective investments, with over 140 investments made. Before my venture career, I started two venture-backed companies, raising five rounds of funding from Kleiner Perkins, Mayfield, JMI Equity, VantagePoint and others. Nothing energizes me more than interacting with the founders of companies. It takes a special mix of open-mindedness, grit, and disregard for the status quo to get a great company up and running. This may be the highest calling a human can answer to. A good venture investor can act as a coach and sounding board for the best entrepreneurs to help them see the forest for the trees by asking the right questions, while being mindful of the vastly deeper knowledge those working in the company every day naturally have.
