Summary
User interface design with clients through an iterative process involving interviews, brainstorms, prototypes and a hands-on approach, to come up with designs that are effective, simple, current and visually pleasing. Working for many years out of the Boston area. The design project is usually done through close work with the development team. The focus is the user. The goal is to make the product understandable, simple and straight forward. Prototypes are created to closely resemble the final product design. These prototypes are very useful throughout the process: - They provide an accurate picture of the way the product will look, feel and react. - They are used for usability studies and as a means of collecting feedback. - They communicate the design to the development team. - Provide resources that can be used in the product itself. - Can be used to collect feedback (or impress potential customers). - They dont waste the valuable coders time with experiments. Coding only starts once the design is complete. - They can be used for proof of concept presentations to Investors. - Can be used for documentation before the product is ready. - They make sure our design is usable (and doable since they are usually developed on the target platform).
